An Ethiopian Airlines passenger jet has crashed as it was making its way to Nairobi, Kenya. The jet is believed to have crashed 6 minutes after take-off from Addis Ababa Bole International Airport in Ethiopia.
Ethiopian Airlines believes that the jet was carrying 149 passengers and 8 crew members on board.
Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed took to twitter to express his condolences to those who have lost loved ones in the crash.
The Office of the PM, on behalf of the Government and people of Ethiopia, would like to express it’s deepest condolences to the families of those that have lost their loved ones on Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 on regular scheduled flight to Nairobi, Kenya this morning.
