COVID-19 has had an aggravating effect on food insecurity across the continent. Border closures, lockdowns, and lost jobs have reduced food access. As a result, acute food insecurity in Africa has increased by over 60 per cent in the past year and threatens to widen further. Does technology offer a solution?
