AIROBI, Aug 1 (Reuters) – The Kenyan shilling dipped against the US dollar on Thursday, according to data from the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG).
As of 0802 GMT, the shilling exchanged hands at 129.00/130 per dollar, sliding from Wednesday’s closing rate of 128.50/129.50.
The depreciation of the shilling is usually attributed to heightened demand for dollars from sectors such as energy and manufacturing.
