Over the past five years, Andela Rwanda has successfully trained over 500 world-class engineers, with 70% of them securing employment opportunities within both local and international companies. The organization's commitment to fostering talent extends beyond formal training programs, as they have also introduced approximately 1,200 individuals to technology through initiatives like the Andela Learning Community. While these programs serve as an introduction to tech, the Andela Technical Leadership Program offers a more intensive and structured training experience. According to Ndimurukundo, the skill sets required for the future have shifted, with more emphasis placed on foundational technical skills, communication abilities, and professional competencies. Nurturing a workforce equipped with diverse skills, including data analysis, design, project management, and business analysis, is paramount to meeting the industry's growing demands. Andela Rwanda has expanded its offerings to include practice areas in data and design, allowing them to cater to a broader range of skills needed in the market. The organization's approach to measuring impact goes beyond job creation, focusing on the employment rate of program participants, which stands at a commendable 70%. Additionally, the growing presence of individuals co-founding companies and contributing to the entrepreneurship ecosystem illustrates the tangible impact of Andela Rwanda's efforts in skill development.
