South African listed property 2024 review

For the second year running, South Africa’s listed property sector outperformed other local asset classes such as equities, bonds and cash. In 2024, gains from the JSE property sector rose by about a third vs the 17 per cent return for bonds, 13.5 per cent return in equities and 8.5 per cent return of cash. What then does 2025 have in store for the sector? CNBC Africa is joined by Ian Anderson, Portfolio Manager, Merchant West Investment and Keillen Ndlovu, Independent Property Analyst.
