Trans-Sahara Gas Pipeline: Nigeria, Algeria endorse steering committee resolutions

Representatives of Nigeria and Algeria have endorsed the steering committee resolutions of the Trans-Sahara Gas Pipeline project paving the way for three key agreements covering feasibility studies, Non-Disclosure agreement and the reimbursement agreement. Meanwhile Data from the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission shows Crude oil production in the country currently averages 1.75 million barrels per day with a gas production of 7 billion standard cubic feet per day. Meanwhile, Nigeria may spend 2.36 trillion naira on electricity subsidies for low-income consumers this year.
