<p>Food group Libstar has declared a dividend of 25 cents per share for the year ended 2019, despite the group grappling with the COVID-19 related costs of R44 million for its interim period. The group reported headline earnings per share decrease of 17.7 per cent; however its retail and wholesale division saw a 10.7 per cent increase as South Africans spent more time cooking at home during lock-down. <p>Civil rights group Afrifourm is representing the Botswana government in its fight against its former president Ian Khama and South African businesswoman Bridgette Motsep- Radebe. The pair was accused of staging a coup and stealing $10 billion from the reserve bank of Botswana. But in an investigation by international firms Omnia and Alaco, it was concluded that that claims were fabricated. However Botswana’s government is bringing legal action against the South African government for not assisting with the needed legal documents. <p>Food group Sea Harvest reported an interim revenue increase of 7 per cent, benefiting from a good performance in its South Africa fishing operations, Cape harvest foods and Australian operations.
