Absa Group today reported a 10 per cent increase in its 2024 earnings, driven by a material second-half recovery and improved risk management, despite a 5 per cent rise in operating costs and a credit loss ratio still slightly above target.

Spur Corporation has reported higher interim profits. Headline earnings per share were 11.8 per cent and an interim dividend that was up 11.6 per cent on a year ago.
