ARACAJU, Brazil, July 26 (Reuters) – Brazil’s state-run oil firm Petrobras has made a non-binding offer to buy a stake in Galp Energia’s major oil discovery off the Namibia coast, Petrobras Director of Exploration and Production Sylvia dos Anjos told Reuters on Friday.

If accepted, the bid would make Petrobras the operator of the Mopane oil and gas field, which has at least 10 billion barrels of oil equivalent according to estimates, said Anjos in her first interview after taking over the role last month.
