Egypt’s M2 money supply rose 28.691% year-on-year in August, central bank says

CAIRO, Oct 1 (Reuters) – Egypt’s M2 money supply rose by 28.691% year-on-year in August, central bank data showed on Tuesday.

Money supply stood at 10.896 trillion Egyptian pounds ($226.15 billion), up from 8.467 trillion pounds in the same month last year. ($1 = 48.1800 Egyptian pounds) (Reporting by Enas Alashray, Jaidaa Taha and Adam Makary; Editing by Timothy Heritage)
