HAMBURG, Oct 7 (Reuters) – Algerian state agency ONAB is believed to have bought an unknown volume of animal feed corn expected to be sourced from Argentina or Brazil in an international tender for up to 320,000 metric tons which closed on Thursday, European traders said on Monday.

Traders did not believe the full volume sought was purchased, some said between 60,000 to 120,000 tons in two or three consignments may have been bought. Prices were unavailable.

The corn was sought for shipment in October and Nov. 1-15 from Argentina or Brazil only.

Reports reflect assessments from traders and further estimates of prices and volumes are still possible later. (Reporting by Michael Hogan)
