Algeria to announce oil and gas licensing round, minister says

ALGIERS, Oct 14 (Reuters) – Algeria’s national development hydrocarbon agency (ALNAFT) will announce a round of bids to attract foreign investment and operators to develop its oil and gas sector, Algeria’s energy minister Mohamed Arkab told reporters on Monday.

Major firms, including Exxon Mobil, Chevron, ENI, and China’s Sinopec, are expected to participate. (Reporting by Lamine Chikhi Editing by Bernadette Baum)
