South Africa’s Treasury: issued $3.5 bln in bonds maturing in 2036, 2054
JOHANNESBURG, Nov 13 (Reuters) – South Africa’s National Treasury said on Wednesday that the government had issued $3.5 billion in bonds maturing in 2036 and 2054 in the international capital markets.
The Treasury said in a statement that the transaction had attracted an order book in excess of $8.6 billion. The 12-year bond and the 30-year bond priced at a coupon and re-offer yield of 7.1% and 7.95%, respectively, it said. (Reporting by Alexander Winning)
